Review before booking
Late Policy
To ensure that all sessions run smoothly and on schedule, Lumin & Co. maintains a zero-tolerance policy for tardiness. Clients arriving 10 minutes late will incur a $10 late fee, with an additional $1 per minute thereafter.
Clients who arrive 30 minutes or more late will forfeit their time slot, and the session may be considered cancelled.
Session Extension Policy
If a session runs beyond the scheduled time, an extension fee will apply. At the 10-minute mark, a $20 fee will be added, followed by $2 for each additional minute. Extensions are based on availability and at the photographer’s discretion. All extension fees are due with the remaining session balance.
Studio Guests
Up to two support persons are permitted per shoot. Any additional guests will be asked to wait outside of the studio to maintain focus and comfort during the session.
Studio Rules & Etiquette
As Lumin & Co. operates within a shared professional studio, all clients and guests must respect the following guidelines to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment:

Keep Food and Drinks Away: No eating or drinking is permitted in the main shooting area. If necessary, food and beverages may only be kept or consumed at the counter.

Furniture Care: Keep makeup, body oils, and lotions away from all studio furniture and props to prevent staining or damage.

No dark colored jeans on white furniture.

No Cake-Smash Sessions: Cake-smash or food-based sessions are not permitted inside the studio.

Respectful Noise Level: Please keep music at a reasonable volume out of respect for neighboring tenants.

Bathroom Use: Do not remove the tube from the bathroom sink.

Trash Disposal: Do not dispose of food, beverages, plates, cups, or bottles in the bathroom trash can. Use the designated waste bins in the common area for all disposables.
Failure to follow studio rules may result in a cleaning fee or early termination of the session without refund.
Entire Agreement
This agreement represents the full understanding between Lumin & Co. (“the Company”) and the Client. It supersedes all prior discussions or agreements.
Any modifications must be made in writing and signed by both parties. If any portion of this agreement is found invalid, the remaining provisions will still apply. Failure to enforce a clause does not waive future enforcement of that clause or others.
Event Assignment
The Company reserves the right to assign services to a trusted independent contractor or associate photographer as needed. While Kierra Hill is the lead photographer, another Lumin & Co. professional may service the event if required.
Reservation
A signed contract and retainer fee are required to secure your session or event date. Retainers are non-refundable and serve as liquidated damages in case of cancellation or breach of contract by the Client. The Client is responsible for any materials or expenses incurred prior to cancellation.
Event Schedule
Clients agree to confirm the final schedule one week before the event. Any changes to time, location, or logistics must be communicated promptly and acknowledged by the Company to ensure coverage accuracy.
Safety
Lumin & Co. reserves the right to end coverage and leave the event location if the photographer experiences unsafe, threatening, or inappropriate behavior from any attendee. Client safety and photographer well-being are our top priority
Shooting Time & Additions
Cooperation and punctuality are essential. Shooting begins and ends at the agreed-upon times.
If the Client arrives late, coverage will still conclude at the scheduled end time. Additional time will be billed at the standard overtime rate.
Expenses & Travel
The Client is responsible for travel, accommodation, and meal expenses unless otherwise arranged.
The first 30 miles roundtrip of travel are included. Each additional mile is billed at $0.50 per mile.
Responsibilities
The Company is not responsible for compromised coverage due to factors beyond control, including but not limited to: weather, lateness, guest interference, venue restrictions, or unforeseen schedule conflicts.
While every effort is made to capture key moments, specific images cannot be guaranteed.
Venue & Location Limitations
The Company must adhere to all venue rules and restrictions. The Client is responsible for obtaining permissions or permits as required. The Company will offer technical guidance but cannot negotiate venue policies.
Film & Copyright
All images are protected under Federal Copyright Law.
The Client may not reproduce or alter any photographs without written permission. Upon full payment, the Client receives limited personal-use rights to share images online or with family and friends, provided that the images remain unaltered and Lumin & Co. is credited when posted.
Model Release
The Client grants Lumin & Co. the right to use images for portfolio, advertising, and promotional purposes unless otherwise requested in writing. No compensation or royalties shall be due for such usage.
Limit of Liability
In the rare event of illness, injury, or equipment failure preventing completion of services, the Company will make every reasonable effort to provide a qualified replacement photographer.
If no replacement is available, liability is limited to the return of all payments received. The Company’s liability for lost or damaged digital files is limited to a prorated amount or full refund, depending on the extent of the loss.
Capture & Delivery
The selection and editing of final images are at the photographer’s discretion. Not all images captured will be delivered. Proof galleries and final edits reflect the Company’s artistic judgment and professional standards.
Post-Production & Editing
The editing style, color grading, and overall aesthetic of images are determined by Lumin & Co. Requests for significant retouching or re-editing may incur additional fees.
Payment Schedule
A 50% non-refundable retainer is due at booking to secure your date.
The remaining balance must be paid in full prior to or on the day of the session/event. Returned checks are subject to a $50 fee. Failure to pay as agreed will result in cancellation and forfeiture of all monies paid.
Pricing
All services and products not included in the initial agreement will be billed at current rates when ordered. Pricing is subject to change without notice.
Credit vouchers hold no cash value and may only be applied toward future Lumin & Co. services or merchandise.
